    Using the Gimp package from https://snapcraft.io/store worked for me, then I uninstalled the crashing version.

    Got Gimp from https://snapcraft.io/store. Gimp still crashes. When I get a chance I'll look for bug reports.

    I reinstalled Gimp, but Gimp still crashes. I'll do a snap or Flatpack install.

    24.04 was a clean install. I just installed Gimp using APT, how could you tell if the Gimp pkg was a snap or .deb?

    Last week Gimp worked normal, was running 22.04 LTS. After installing 24.04 LTS Gimp is seg-faulting. I'm not good at analysing crash messages, what would this indicate?
